Project Brief
Let’s talk a walk through 689 School house.
Upon entrance we are welcomed by vast foyer characterized by high ceilings and dramatic lighting. Immediately to your right your will find your guest bedroom. This guest room is equipped with private ensuite and large walk-in closet. The other entrance into the home is from the garage which leads you into the conveniently placed mud room. There are then two directions to choose from. One choice takes you from the mud room directly into the spacious pantry and right on into the spice kitchen. The second route will place you in a small hall where you will find the door to the powder room and entrance to the main floor.
Just beyond the Foyer we find the lovely living room. Complimented by the first of two gorgeous fireplaces and an airy spacious appeal
The main level is designed with both a spice kitchen and cosmetic kitchen. Both of theses spaces are equipped with high end appliances and many thoughtful features in including walk in pantry, built in floor vacuums, and a stunning oversized island. The far end of the cosmetic kitchen is where you will find the doors leading to the outdoor patio paradise.
Beyond the kitchens you will discover the grand family room distinguished by its towering ceilings, marble wall feature, wet bar, and striking fireplace. The open floor plan gives you ample space for dining areas to either side of the Family room.
Taking to the stairs we head up to the upper level where we discover the open railing with views of the foyer below. On this floor we will find 4 bedrooms. Each room is complete with large walk-in closet and private ensuite. The master bedroom is set apart by supersizing both its ensuite and walk-in closet and private patio space. This level also includes a spacious luxury laundry room.
Heading into the basement we will discover a large recreation room ideal for a home gym or playroom and a separate 2-bedroom 2-bathroom private legal suite.
Let us take a moment and discuss the homes ventilation system. Here we have made the choice of installing a HRV system or heat recovery ventilation system. This is a great choice for homes in colder climates where there is excess moisture during the heating season since the unit allows for getting rid of it. Your home will be supplied with continuous fresh air. The heat recovery core transfers a portion of heat in the stale air being exhausted to the fresh incoming air from outside before being distributed throughout your home. The result is a continuous supply of fresh air, without unpleasant drafts, increasing the comfort for all who occupy.
